[1]: general term for an item made or given shape by humans, such as a tool or a work of art, especially an object of archaeological interest.

[2]: A distortion or error in digital data, caused by limitations or malfunctions of technology, which can degrade quality and integrity.

Artifact:

A world much like our own – but one where light and sound are sacred. Hidden Artifacts are found in plain sight by the chosen many who seek them. To find one is an act of rebellion. And those who do are forever changed.
